A number of people asked us before leaving for Burkina: “What sort of things
can we send you out?”.
So for those who require ideas of what to send us, here
is our wish list:

Beanfeast

packets of dried pasta and sauce: (just add milk)

Packet sauces: cheese sauce, tuna mix etc (Not ones for pork)

Dried fruit: apricots, cranberries, Fruit flakes, fruit with yogurt coating (lunch box stuff)

Angel Delight (not banana flavour)

Marmite (now in plastic container)

Birds Instant custard (packets are just as good as the tin)

Cake mixes (or packs that the kids can do)

Cereals: Weetabix, Cheerios, Shreddies- kids’ variety packs

Good quality coffee beans: We have a grinder and the beans will stay fresh for longer

Multi-vitamins for the kids and us. I found some in Superdrug that the kids like, chewable teddy-shaped multivit & iron, 60 in a pack, Superdrug’s own brand.

Milk chocolate & sweets: just make sure chocolate is well sealed (foil/ vacuum packed)

(Cheryl & Josh like mint, minstrels, dairy-milk caramel, Josh likes Skittles & M&Ms; Milly likes Curly Wurly.... Mark will generally consume anything)

.

Cheryl: already receives Prima, but any other is fine); Christian magazines

Mark: computers (?), walking mag’s, The Week (This is a paper that is a summery of the weeks UK news taken from a veriety of UK papers... Generaly published for Expats)

Kids: comics, DK, animal interest are favourites but most are great (see kids interest in sidebar)

Paper cake cases

Seeds: Tomato, Sunflowers, runner beans, lettuces, carrots, Marigolds (there is an African variety), and any other variety of vegetable/flower/plant that may do well in a warmer climate.

Nice pens, pencils, rubbers, stickers, writing paper, Scrap booking stuff, stickers, Sticky-back plastic, general Craft things etc

We all like to read, so any good books, Christian or other

Joshua loves to read adventure books (ask what other 8-10 year olds are reading, we’d prefer not to receive ones focusing on “magic” etc).

Sunday school material is very useful. Maybe you’ve used some great stuff in your Sunday school, and could just photocopy some extra.

Some Bible puzzle books I saw that looked good-

Please see our Amazon Wish list. This is not exhaustive and you may have seen a good film or something (do check with us first just incase we have it) or maybe you have the facility to record DVDs from the TV. Also any music that you think is worth listening to.

We all like to receive letters (snail mail or e-mail) as well, and hear how you’re all doing.
