Ministry
We have been working with SIM in Burkina Faso since the end of the year 2000 and after living in Ouagadougou for just over a year we made the move to the north of the country where our ministry is now based. Djibo is one of the main northern market towns and is home to a large number of Fulanies as well as other peoples such as the Tuareg and Soninke. SIM have been working in the Sahelian town of Djibo for over 25 years understanding it to be a strategic town for reaching the Fulani people with the Gospel.
Since our Fulfulde language and culture studies we have been involved in church planting misnistries with roughly splite into three categories.
Church based
Involving preaching and teaching, discipleship and leadership development.
Village outreach
Relationally based using appropriate methods to share the Gospel.
Mercy ministries
Meeting some of the practical needs of communities in poverty such as famine aid, well drilling and child education sponsorship.
